Here's an obscure Smackdown match from 2003: Chris Benoit versus WWE Champion at the time, Brock Lesnar. It's a great television match because Brock Lesnar steps his game up knowing that he's facing the very physical wrestler in Benoit. That's what was great about Benoit was that his style pushed the aggression buttons in his opponents. The majority of the greats from the first half of the 2000's potentially have at least one of their best matches with Benoit.

But don't count Lesnar out... He had a GREAT 2003, looking back. He took the ball handed to him by the Rock at SummerSlam 2002 and ran with it to lead the Smackdown brand to stronger ratings than RAW. Folks, Brock was the replacement for Austin/Rock going and that's what made his Wrestlemania 20 departure in 2004 painful for Vince McMahon. We should have had multiple Pay Per View headliners with Brock vs. John Cena, along with being denied Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar.

Enjoy... It's quite the awesome match and quite the ending, too.
